I have always loved me a little cheekbone lifting and face shaping. . . But never in my life did I appreciate more a little “slimming” than when I was pregnant with Pilar and Sophie Grace! I had waited a long time to get pregnant and when I finally did, boy oh boy, was I gonna make the most of it!!! So, in the beginning, it was all good. . . I craved watermelon and chocolate soy milk (not at the same time, thank God!) Then, as time passed, my cravings got more and more, well. . . fattening! Eggs Benedict, bacon, French fries…and not ONE belly ache…I was in Heaven!!! THEN. . . it all started to shoe and not just in my preggo belly. . . and my cheeks sure were getting fuller and not just the ones that I sat on! How much sis I love my face defining then!!!!!!

I have to say one of my favorite things about being a makeup artist is sharing all of my secrets and tricks with you. But after all that heavy duty defining, I discovered a way of making this trick easier for you!

Who doesn’t want a foolproof way to look more sculpted, thinner, like an even more perfect version of you??? This is where the Shape and Light face definer comes to save the day!

Here’s the deal:

I give you the perfect highlighter. . . this goes right on your cheekbone to really lift you up and make you look like you have the most killer cheekbones in the world! Then, I give you the perfect shaping powder (the word “contour” is so 80’s!) This goes right in the hollow of your cheek (like when you make the “fish face”!) This makes you look like you lost five pounds, which, of course, we could always use!

But, here’s the big news! I have designed for you the most fabulous, most fool-proof, easiest, no-brainer brush. . . so easy that you can never make a mistake!!! It’s just like having me right there with you every time you put your makeup on. As a matter of fact, I had three samples of this fantastic brush and every time I brought these brushes to work with me, my celebrity clients would beg me to take them home! “come on, Mally! This brush does it just like you do!” they would say. . . needless to say, those samples disappeared quickly!

Here’s how it works:

First, you hold the brush with the longer side up. Take the longer side and dip it into the highlighting (light) powder. Next, take the shorter side and dip it into the shaping powder. Finally, hold the brush up to your face and place the longer bristles with the light, highlighting powder against the top of your cheekbone and place the shorter bristles with the shaping powder on them to the hollow of your cheek. Simply sweep the luxurious brush diagonally sown your cheekbone and hollow in one swoop and voila! You are defined, sculpted, and just plain perfect! Follow with a couple more swipes back and forth to blend. Now, that’s easy!!!
